About the role

  • We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Electromechanic to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will be flexible, possess tight-knit collaboration skills, and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • At all times enforce Diageo health and safety, environmental and food safety standards, and work to all applicable legislative procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and organized workplace environment through alignment to the Safety and 5S MMS practices.
  • Support TLS & Operators to build asset care and RCPS capability.

Requirements

  • Accountable to ensure all assigned Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules are carried out at the defined frequency and completed to the required standard.
  • Coach operators to perform autonomous maintenance tasks, machine set ups optimization and support growth in equipment capability as required.
  • Support capital work, including installation, commissioning and testing within area as required.
  • Attend all Tier 1 meetings, supply to the agenda and complete actions as required.
  • must be always aware of surroundings.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, and bend for extended periods.

Skills

  • Prefer to have completed a recognized apprenticeship or gained a mechanical or electrical degree.
  • 5+ years' experience performing maintenance tasks in a manufacturing facility.
  • Higher National Certificate level qualification or equivalent within an FMCG industry.
  • Experience - Essential
  • Numerical/verbal reasoning, Computer literate
  • Understanding of asset performance and maintenance philosophy with excellent process improvement and root cause problem solving skills.
  • Multi-Skilled in electrical and mechanical.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Has strength of character to challenge non-adherence to standards and policies.
  • Raises problems.
  • Is an ambassador for continuous improvement.
  • Responds to change in a positive and flexible manner.

Compensation

  • IS FROM $49,070 TO $81,783 (ANNUAL)
  • At Diageo certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual incentive payment and stock awards.
