About the role
- Examines archaeology of pre-historical and proto-historical cultures and the sacred structures of several major world religions such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Jain, and Islam.
- Also considers issues of identity, empire, modernism, and post-colonial politics in art made under local rulers, during European and US colonialism, and in the present.
- Fulfills the Aesthetic Perspective and the Global Diversity requirement.
