About the role
- As a co-op/intern, you will have a task list that exposes you to core accounting work and you will have the opportunity to learn from a collaborative group of leaders across the finance organization.
- We offer flexible work arrangements with defined days in our downtown Cincinnati office and working remotely from home.
- Record a variety of monthly journal entries and review trial balances in the general ledger system.
Responsibilities
- Maintain up to date documentation of processes and tasks.
- Develop basic understanding of statutory and GAAP accounting guidance for insurance industry.
- Perform a variety of routine, clerical type accounting activities in support of the department.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to connect with other interns, managers and leaders at MassMutual Ascend while gaining hands-on experience in your area of focus.
Compensation
- Your total compensation package includes either a bonus target or in a sales-focused role a Variable Incentive Compensation component.
