About the role
- Position Overview The Safety and Security Supervisor is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for overseeing the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of security personnel.
- This position ensures seamless access control, facility patrols, and rapid incident response, while directly training new hires on safety and security protocols.
- This non-exempt role reports to the Safety and Security Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
- Monitor guest check-in systems, manage facility access controls, and conduct routine perimeter and safety patrols.
- Manage security technology systems, including CCTV surveillance, electronic access systems, fire alarms, and visitor logs.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal cross-functional departments and diverse public visitors, maintaining absolute confidentiality regarding sensitive materials and situations.
Requirements
- Serve as the primary liaison to local emergency services (police, fire, EMS), advocating for non-escalatory, community-sensitive responses when assistance is required.
- Possession of (or ability to obtain prior to hire) required state/local security guard registration (e.g., California Guard Card or regional equivalent).
Nice to have
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Business Administration, or a related field is highly preferred.

- Serve as the primary on-site responder during security breaches, medical emergencies, mental health crises, or environmental threats.
