About the role
- Cryoport, Inc. is redefining temperature controlled supply chain support for the life sciences industry by continually broadening its platform of solutions, serving the biopharma, reproductive medicine and animal health markets.
- PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)
Responsibilities
- Lead the structuring, drafting, negotiation, approval, and management of a wide variety of global
- Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams (operations, sales, finance,
- Advise and support the protection and management of intellectual property, including
- Oversee defense and prosecution of commercial litigation; manage outside counsel and
- Develop, implement and manage legal policies and procedures and ensure compliance
- Develop and deliver training to employees on key legal and compliance topics such as contracting practices, regulatory requirements, and ethical business conduct.
- Provide additional legal support on other matters and assume other responsibilities, as needed.
- Ability to manage a heavy workload and prioritize multiple projects
- Ability to communicate effectively with members of other departments in order to support their functions as well as to assist them in supporting the legal staff
Requirements
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school
- 7+ years corporate legal experience
Nice to have
- Experience working in a technology and IP driven environment a plus
- Experience in working with a publicly listed company also a plus
