About the role

Overview POSITION PURPOSE: The Broadband Field Technician I is responsible for installing, modifying, repairing, and disconnecting cable services, including video, data, and telephone.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Install, splice, and terminate fiber-optic and Coax cables and connectors in both indoor and outdoor settings.
Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance checks to verify the functionality and performance of the installed fiber optic/and or coax connections.

Requires ability to travel and drive to job sites daily.

Perform general clerical work such as filing, copying, mailing, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Address their inquiries, explain service options, and provide technical support when required.
INCUMBENTS ARE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR ALL DUTIES OF THIS JOB JOB SPECIFICATIONS Required Knowledge/Skills/Attributes Requires a proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and organize effectively.
Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
Must have, prior to, and throughout employment, an acceptable background and current, valid driver's license to commute to customer homes.

close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus and able to manipulate objects such as pens, keyboard and mouse.
Education Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
