About the role
- This role focuses on financial planning and plays an important role in strengthening budgeting discipline, forecasting accuracy and reporting across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models for portfolio companies and internal operations
- Develop long-range strategic planning processes
- Support implementation and maintenance of financial systems and dashboards
- Strategic Planning Support
- Partner with leadership to support strategic initiatives and business planning
- Build models and analyses to inform key decisions (e.g., program prioritization, resource allocation)
- Develop materials for internal and external stakeholders, including board decks and investor updates
- Support investment and diligence activities, including financial modeling and scenario analysis
- The firm focuses on the translational phase of medicine to generate data that can support full clinical development, and eventual market launch, to reach patients in need.
- The Senior Director, Business Planning & Analysis is a key strategic partner to the Aditum Bio fund and portfolio company leadership, responsible for delivering high-quality financial analysis, forecasting and performance insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- At least 7 years of experience in FP&A, preferably with experience in both, a lean biotech environment and in established pharmaceutical companies
- Familiarity with drug development process and timelines
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and recommendations
- Proactive and self-directed, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Strong financial modeling and Excel skills
- Experience building and maintaining complex financial models
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong track record of working effectively with cross functional partners and senior management
