About the role

  • The ideal candidate possesses a strong, active background in distributed computing ( Apache Spark, Databricks) and cloud-native orchestration (Spark on Kubernetes/EKS, MWAA).

Responsibilities

  • Mentor & grow data + API engineers; drive Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban); manage performance, capacity, and hirin Hands-on Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala) development; Spark on Kubernetes (EKS); data lake/warehouse on S3, Glue, Snowflake, Databricks; MWAA orchestration Lead on-prem (Hadoop, Teradata, RDBMS) to cloud migrations; secure hybrid connectivity via AWS Direct Connect & PrivateLink Build RESTful/gRPC APIs; microservices architecture; API gateway integration; OAuth2/OIDC authentication Enforce CI/CD (GitOps), code quality standards; optimize cloud costs (Databricks, Snowflake, EKS); ensure

Requirements

  • Technical Skills 6+ years hands-on Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala) - internals, tuning,

Skills

  • Education & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of overall experience in software engineering and data engineering, with a focus on cloud-scale data platforms.
  • Experience with data mesh concepts and data governance frameworks in highly regulated industries (e.g., Finance, Healthcare).

Compensation

  • $156,160.00 - $234,240.00 In addition to salary, Citi's offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
