About the role

  • This position is within the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), Communications and Grid Modeling (TPM), System Planning (TP), Transmission Services (T).
  • You will guide the development of grid models that ensure regional reliability and represent the agency as a top expert, influencing energy policy and shaping the integration of new technology within the Pacific Northwest.
  • You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Advance your career and become BPA's lead technical authority on power system modeling.

Requirements

  • (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET
  • The adequacy of such background must be demonstrated by one of the following:
  • and 2) utilizing complex power system modeling tools to analyze power system elements and ensure compliance with NERC Reliability Standards. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience.
