About the role
- In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping our business and financial strategy while driving high-impact initiatives across the company.
- Your responsibilities will include supporting the monthly close process, the annual operating plan, and forecasting the balance sheet and cash flow statement, along with performing detailed reporting and analysis.
- You'll work closely with the Accounting and Capital Markets teams to enhance the accuracy of key balance sheet and cash flow forecasting items.
Responsibilities
- We're seeking a Senior Associate to support the Corporate Finance function at Chime!
- Furthermore, you'll support the Systems/Data team to optimize Pigment, our new planning platform, by developing executive-level dashboards and enhancing the efficiency of existing forecast models.
- Support balance sheet and cash flow management, including analysis, forecasting, planning, and scenario modeling
- Partner with Accounting, Capital Markets, and Finance teams to enhance forecast accuracy through deeper analysis and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with the Capital Markets team to conduct scenario analyses and develop pro forma models that assess the potential impact of financing activities on the financial statements
- Engage with and support Finance team members in improving company-wide forecasting, scenario planning, reporting, and variance analysis across the income statement, cash flow, and balance sheet
- Identify potential issues and proactively implement process improvements
Requirements
- To thrive in this role, you have
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or relevant field
- A strong understanding of financial statements and their interdependencies is essential for providing insightful analyses that drive accountability and financial predictability.
Nice to have
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, or consulting
- prior experience in treasury and at high-growth technology or financial technology startups a plus
- experience with Pigment, AI LLMs, or SQL is a plus
Skills
- Leverage AI tools to automate manual processes and increase efficiencies
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills
Compensation
- The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $116,000 and up to $160,000..
- The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
- Support the monthly close process, monthly forecast, and annual operating plan
