About the role

This role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records, with a primary focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly journal entries, invoice preparation, and account reconciliations.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proficient in accounting software, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.

Maintain organized records of all payables transactions and vendor correspondence.
Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a general accounting or staff accountant role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar ERP system).
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work from the Gainesville, FL office.
All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Solid understanding of core accounting principles.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Possession of a valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a valid U.S. passport.
CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA certification is considered an asset.

Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in a mid-sized organization is preferred.
Familiarity with month-end close processes and financial statement preparation is preferred.
