Responsibilities
- Drive margin improvement by creating and executing cost reduction negotiations, extending supplier payment terms, and optimizing landed cost through control of logistics and tariff costs.
- Develop and execute long term, global strategies for the critical Electrical sub-commodities.
- Create short and long-term commodity strategies and influence cross functional team members.
- The Electrical Commodity Leader will be responsible to identify and drive proactive strategies with a clear focus on margin improvement, cash generation, supplier relationship management, dual source development, low cost country spend migration, cross functional project management, supplier delivery performance management and service part productivity.
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
- Clear thinker with ability to lead team level projects with high sensitivity towards maintaining timeline
- Demonstrated background of building collaborative relationships
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Supply Chain or Related Field
- Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Commodity Management or Global Supply Chain.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
- Proven analytical and organizational ability
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills and expertise required in Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Ability to work with cross functional teams such as engineering, NPI sourcing, quality, services, materials etc. to achieve timely project execution
- Ability to work with Global Supply Base
