About the role

  • As a Security Systems Engineer at Palantir, you are responsible for implementing, designing, and maintaining the physical security systems that ensure the protection of Palantir's people, assets, intellectual property, and reputation.
  • Your technical expertise is second only to your integrity and genuine passion for security and technology.
  • You'll work hard to break down barriers between teams by communicating your knowledge and goals effectively across time zones and other physical and virtual barriers. *Please note this role is NOT for cyber security or information security positions*

Responsibilities

  • You will be collaborating with technical teams to develop and maintain end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Design and oversee the technical aspects of your projects from conception to full deployment.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for all project phases.
  • Prioritize tasks across competing deadlines and manage scope changes gracefully.
  • Prepare and document standard operating procedures, protocols, and security standards.
  • Validate that implemented security controls are effective and meet project goals before project closure.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Proficiency with enterprise Video Management Systems, enterprise Physical Access Control Systems, Intruder Detection Systems, Communication Systems, and security hardware.
  • Proficiency with programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.

Nice to have

  • Strong engineering background, preferred in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics.
  • Active TS security clearance or willingness and eligibility to obtain a security clearance is a plus.

Skills

  • Leverage both system and software engineering skills in order to address the needs of all teams within Global Safety and Security.

Compensation

  • Total compensation for this position may also include Restricted Stock units, sign-on bonus and other potential future incentives.
