Responsibilities

  • The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.

Requirements

  • A general knowledge of construction techniques and an ability to read plans and specifications is mandatory.
  • The individual must possess the proven ability to distribute learned knowledge to other Construction Observers and Material Testing Technicians.
  • Physical Demands: Entails manual labor, including the ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires the ability to work at and easily maneuver around construction sites in various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding and trenches.
  • Being in the vicinity of a nuclear density gauge may be required at times.
  • If requested by the Company, the member must be able to meet the criteria established by the Federal Government for operation of this equipment.
  • Physically performs field-required tests and inspections
