About the role
- We're hiring a senior software engineer to join us onsite in San Francisco.
- You'll be doing a lot of zero to one, breaking down high-level goals, diving into ambiguity and experimenting to find the best solutions.
- Our stack: TypeScript, Node, Postgres, React, GraphQL (Apollo), and Next.js
Responsibilities
- You'll build critical systems, services, and customer-facing features end-to-end.
- A strong desire to directly understand customer problems and design solutions for them
- Thoughtful perspective on engineering operations best practices (e.g. incident retrospectives, sprint planning, technical design)

Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer
- "T-shaped" skillset: shallow knowledge across the stack and depth of experience in at least one area
- Experience breaking down, planning, and executing ambiguous projects
- Familiarity or interest in Typescript, React, GraphQL, Postgres, or Next.js
- You might be a good fit if you have/are
- Not required: insurance knowledge - we promise, you'll pick up the necessary pieces fast!
