About the role

  • In this role, you will provide direct leadership to finishing operations by supervising day-to-day production and performance of multiple hourly direct reports.
  • This position requires excellent communication skills with a diverse workforce, the ability to prioritize work with a high sense of urgency, and the capacity to make timely, effective decisions to resolve operational issues.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a proactive safety culture by conducting safety audits, investigating near misses or accidents, and mentoring team members for full compliance with safety standards.
  • Support the efforts of and effectively interface with the Maintenance, Quality, and Process Engineering teams while maintaining strict 5S and Good Housekeeping standards.
  • Ability to consistently work a 12-hour shift program, night shifts, and designated weekends to support continuous operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to troubleshoot operational issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable technical solutions.
  • To maintain the integrity of our hiring process and protect our candidates from identity fraud, we require video and/or in-person interviews.
  • Team Manager to maintain and improve the safety, quality, service, cost, and culture on the night

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills required to collaborate with a diverse workforce and members of the production leadership team.
  • Strong background as a team player with Lean Manufacturing, ISO 9000, TS 16949, or Six Sigma experience, showing an innate ability to rally and empower people.

Compensation

  • The salary range for this position is $68,400 - $102,144 / year.
  • The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting.
