- We are seeking a Staff Quality Engineer owning and delivering quality for large, complex financial trading systems.
Responsibilities
- Build comprehensive, bottom-up test strategies for the Platform Services organization
- Engage in projects from the initiation phase to identify requirement gaps and design failure modes
- Collaborate with product, design, information security, and business teams to quickly grasp domain knowledge
- Develop concise, clear, and detailed documentation
- Participate in scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical test design, and gap analysis
- Identify defect trends and partner with development teams to address root causes
- Forge's differentiated global marketplace addresses rising demand among individual and institutional investors for exposure to private company stocks and is building a growing network effect.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8-12 years of software testing experience
- Experience in fintech, trading, or financial services
- Experience leading quality efforts for internet applications
- Expertise in test automation (UI, API, or other layers)
- Experience enhancing test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, K6, etc.
- Experience in end-to-end (E2E) automation, contract testing, API automation, and load/performance testing
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience mentoring other quality engineers
- Proven track record of teamwork and delivery
- For residents of the San Francisco, CA area, the annual salary range for this role is $169,000 - $190,000 + annual bonus. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, bonus, and other factors
