About the role

World Relief Upstate SC is seeking a dynamic Economic Empowerment Intern to walk alongside refugees and immigrants on their path toward economic self-sufficiency.
This unpaid internship offers hands-on experience in workforce development and refugee resettlement services.
Additional responsibilities include coordinating and supporting workshops, trainings, and informational sessions that prepare clients to navigate the U.S. workforce and adapt to their new community.

Since then, for 80 years, across 100 countries, World Relief has partnered with local churches and communities to build a world where families thrive and communities flourish.
The intern will support Economic Empowerment Specialists in delivering holistic employment services, including job readiness activities, case management, employment preparation, and career pathways coaching.
Under supervision, the intern will assist clients with job search processes, workplace readiness, and access to community resources that support job retention and long-term advancement.

High school diploma or bachelor's degree in related field.
While some internships are unpaid, the program is competitive and you are encouraged to approach it in the same way you would a job.
Applicants are required to submit a cover letter, resume, application, and to pass a Criminal Background Check.

Fluency in English required, additional languages preferred, such as Spanish, Swahili, Rohingya, or Arabic
