- As a Scientific Project Manager, you'll play a key role in turning innovative research into meaningful outcomes by leading complex research and clinical studies from planning through execution.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, funding agencies, and external partners, you'll help ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with scientific and operational goals.
- Lead complex research and clinical projects from initiation through closeout, including project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
- Develop and manage project charters, scopes, timelines, budgets, resource plans, and project documentation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, assign project tasks, monitor performance, and manage project risks, scope changes, and contracts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, funding agencies, and external partners to ensure project objectives and deliverables are achieved.
- Oversee research databases and perform statistical analyses to support study outcomes and reporting.
- Manage the collection, organization, and confidentiality of research data and biological samples in compliance with HIPAA, IRB, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay current on research advancements and cultivate professional relationships to support scientific collaboration and innovation.
Requirements
- Superior knowledge of both basic and more complex research procedures, methodologies, and equipment required.
- Knowledge of project management processes and methodologies required.
- Knowledge of methods of research, program analysis and report preparation required.
- Knowledge of management principles including human resource management, budget administration, negotiation techniques, risk identification and mitigation, requirements solicitation required.
- PMP certification or equivalent within one year required.
- Ability to work in a team environment and participate as an active member of management.
Nice to have
- Three years of project/study management experience with involvement in Information Technology infrastructure and operations or software applications implementation required.
- Four years related research experience required
- Experience in a research setting required.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.

- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Must have analytical, statistical, personal organization, and problem solving skills.
- Must have proficient computer skills.
- Ability to think strategically and independently.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management to provide consistent high levels of customer service.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish priorities and follow through on projects, paying close attention to detail with minimal supervision.
- Must have a participative management style, strong team development, and coaching skills
- Able to organize, prioritize, and execute a variable workload and multiple priorities.
Compensation
- $105,000 - $110,000 annually
