Responsibilities

  • Candidates who like solving building-performance problems
  • Lawson Home Services is hiring a Residential Energy Auditor / Home Performance Inspector to perform home energy audits for the Energize Delaware Rebate Program.
  • Perform residential energy audits and diagnostic testing (blower door, duct testing - training provided)
  • Inspect insulation, air sealing, HVAC/duct systems, and building envelope components
  • Document findings accurately for the Energize Delaware program
  • Maintain organized tools, equipment, and job sites

Requirements

  • Experience in home inspections OR residential construction (remodeling, insulation, HVAC, roofing, carpentry, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • No energy-auditing experience required - we provide full paid training and BPI certification.

Nice to have

  • Prior energy auditing or weatherization experience
  • Diagnostic testing familiarity
  • Experience writing reports or documenting field work
  • Paid BPI training and certifications
  • Company vehicle, tools, equipment, and uniforms
