About the role

  • Join our team as an Electrical Engineer!
  • This role is based out of our Indianapolis, Indiana office.
  • The position is salaried and includes eligibility for overtime pay.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical engineers at Matrix work with our clients on multiple projects to solve their problems through design of electrical control panels, MCCs, and VFD panels.
  • With the guidance and support of a senior engineer, design and develop electrical controls packages based on the project needs and process design documentation (typically P&IDs).
  • With the guidance and support of a senior engineer, develop PLC I/O schematics.
  • With the guidance and support of a senior engineer, develop Panel Layouts and Bills of Material for projects.
  • With the guidance and support of a senior engineer, develop three line diagrams for motor circuits.
  • With the guidance and support of a senior engineer, develop construction scopes of work for installation contractors.
  • With the guidance and support of a senior engineer, estimate design and execution time and provide written narrative for sales proposals. QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements

  • With the guidance and support of a senior engineer, develop cable schedules and conduit layouts as required by the project.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEE/BSEET) from an ABET-accredited college or university.

Nice to have

  • Co-op rotations/internships with relevant experience preferred.
