About the role
- OVERVIEW Independently performs Mechanical Design activities for all phases of rotating equipment design for a project of moderate size and complexity (e.g., continuing services project involving a single engineering discipline). Must be fully competent in the design, procurement, and start-up of Special Purpose Steam Turbine in accordance with API 612 and
- the integration of the steam turbines into a power generation facility with steam turbines field experience as a plus. Must be fully competent in performing all conventional aspects of Mechanical Design and application of independent judgement for the evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation of standard design methods and procedures. Responsibilities
- Provides technical guidance for design personnel.
- Working knowledge of equipment design, including equipment sizing, material selection, nondestructive examinations, and equipment performance testing Review vendor drawing / document deliverables and validate project & client comments.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent engineering degree) from an
- Requires a minimum of twelve (12) years' experience in a mechanical design or related functional area (or equivalent working knowledge/experience).
- Certification - Successful completion of NCEES PE Examination Requires an active Professional Engineer (PE) License.

- Assignments have clear and specific objectives and may require the investigation of several variables.
- Periodic evaluation of work done for less experienced engineers/specialists is required.
