About the role

  • The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, scripting, automation, and networking, and will play a key role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Linux environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server environments (v8v9).
  • Develop and maintain advanced automation scripts using BASH, Perl, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Perform administration and O&M tasks from the command line.
  • Manage task automation using tools like Ansible and RHEL Satellite.
  • Configure and manage NFTables, Firewalld, IPTables, ISC2 BIND DNS, TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, Postfix/SMTP Relay.
  • Support Mirantis Container Runtime (formerly Docker), AWS, and GitLab.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for system designs, configurations, processes, and service records.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT infrastructure projects.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with Linux/UNIX systems and interoperability with Windows.
  • Experience with Ansible, RHEL Satellite, and other automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Mirantis Container Runtime, AWS, and GitLab.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Compensation

  • $125,000 - $140,000 USD
  • Participation in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation
