About the role

  • We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with deep back-end expertise to help shape the architecture of our next-generation energy market platform.
  • This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership across settlement processing, bid submission, market workflows, and platform APIs.
  • The majority of development is back-end focused, with front-end work serving as a secondary responsibility.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong expertise in C#/.NET.
  • Experience designing distributed systems and APIs.
  • Deep SQL Server expertise.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript.
  • Minimum Qualifications

Nice to have

  • Experience with energy markets, settlements, or trading platforms.
  • Experience modernizing enterprise applications.
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience incorporating AI-assisted development into engineering workflows.

Skills

  • Design architecture for scalable platform services.
  • Lead implementation of back-end systems in C#/.NET.
  • Define API and service design patterns.
  • Guide database architecture and performance optimization.
  • Mentor engineers through design reviews and technical coaching.
  • Contribute to JavaScript front-end development when appropriate.
  • Drive engineering best practices, testing, and operational excellence.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering velocity and quality.

Compensation

  • In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Yes Energy's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role.
  • This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.
  • $135,000 - $160,000
