- The Staff Accountant will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and assist in the production and disbursement of financial reports.
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of internal financials, 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks, earnings releases, and other investor materials
- Maintain fixed asset schedules utilizing the fixed asset software
- Maintain prepaid expenses and deferred charges schedules
- The Staff Accountant reports to the Director - Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting and is responsible for preparing general journal entries and account reconciliations, principally for North America operations, and provides general ledger and period close support on a global basis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
- 2-4 years of experience in general accounting required
- Prefer experience with Oracle
- Required experience with public companies and SEC reporting
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Outstanding communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills in order to work with various levels of staff and management, as well as external parties
- Willing and initiative to assist others to meet deadlines
