About the role
- Victory Schools empower K-12 students, including those with autism, ensuring they receive essential and equitable educational opportunities in order to thrive and achieve success.
- The CSLP student worker's work schedule is dependent on the hours of operations and needs of Victory Schools; however, CSLP student workers may not work more than 20 hours per week during the academic year (i.e., fall/spring).
- Note: All FWS and FWS-CSLP positions require applicants to complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa to be reviewed for FWS-eligibility and awarded FWS.
Responsibilities
- Maintains discipline by monitoring student behavior and taking the appropriate action including determining when to give a warning and when a formal notice should be written.
- Prepares incident documents including disciplinary actions and documentation for unusual incidents.
- Performs clean up after activities including picking up toys and trash, washing tables and chairs and rearranging furniture.
Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor's program or master's program.
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
- You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
- Have passion and willingness to help others succeed.
- Possess strong ethics, integrity, and sense of responsibility.
Nice to have
- Previous Mentoring a plus.
- Ability to speak a second language a plus.
