About the role
- As part of AFINC, the mission of the 26th Network Operations Squadron (26 NOS) is to provide mission assurance to the warfighter through the operation, management, and defense of the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN).
Responsibilities
- DLS Engineering is seeking a Network Architect III (Network Solutions Architect) professional for a full-time position in support of the Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC) program at Gunter Annex in Montgomery, Alabama.
Requirements
- 7+ years experience with: designing, installing, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading, patching, and hardening routers/switches, serial consoles, load balancers, and switches.
- Deep level of understanding/experience with enterprise level network architectures/configurations is required and Software Defined Networking (SDN) is desired.
- IAT-II certification (required) CCNP certification (required)
- Must be able pass a government background check, which will be completed before employment.
Skills
- Monitors and tests network performance and provides network performance statistics, reports, and recommended fix actions.
