About the role
- We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled R&D Test Specialist to join the System Integration and Testing team.
- In this hands-on role, you will be a key contributor in the testing and validation of our cutting-edge robotics hardware and software systems.
- You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure the capability, reliability and quality of our products by executing detailed test plans, documenting results, and identifying issues.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on hardware and software tests for our robotics and automation systems.
- Accurately record and document test results, observations, and issues, data logging with Google Sheets and other digital tools.
- Collaborate with engineers to debug and troubleshoot problems identified during testing.
- Set up, maintain, and calibrate test fixtures and equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical test plan documents to ensure proper test execution.
- Maintain a safe and organized lab and testing environment.
- Be dependable - Take ownership and deliver with high agency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a hands-on technical role, with a strong background in testing hardware and/or software systems.
- Familiarity with Python scripting for data collection and test automation.
- Strong understanding of data logging and analysis, with proficiency in using tools like Google Sheets or similar platforms.
- Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and technical specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- comfortable using the Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A "can-do" attitude and a passion for hands-on problem-solving.
- Willing and able to work on-site 5 days a week in our San Francisco locations.
Nice to have
- Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
Compensation
- $30.00 - $36.00/hr
