About the role

  • The HazMat Retail Driver will be responsible to operate class A trucks in a Less Than Truckload (LTL) capacity to pick up customer retail waste from retail stores, pharmacies and/or industrial sites.
  • Driver will sort customer waste, verify that the waste is packaged, labeled and marked properly, and secured for transport to a temporary storage or treatment facility.
  • They provide a variety of duties that comply with government regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains vehicle log.
  • Maintains documentation of manifests and work orders.
  • Performs DOT pre-trip and post trip inspections in accordance with company and DOT regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • They will provide excellent customer service through follow up and ongoing communication while on site and maintain an electronic log and documentation of manifests and work orders.
  • By combining local operational management with standardized business practices, we drive greater operating efficiencies across the company while maintaining day-to-day operational decisions at the local level, closest to the customer.

Requirements

  • Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.

Nice to have

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Can self-motivate to achieve daily workload targets.
  • CDL Hazmat endorsement preferred.

Compensation

  • The pay range for this position is $31.25 to $42.95* which reflects the minimum wage in multiple jurisdictions. The actual range will depend on the locality in which you are hired.
