About the role

  • The position is responsible for creating and detailing parts and assemblies, applying proper Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), generating exploded views, and releasing documentation through Agile PLM.
  • The ideal candidate can clearly understand what is being requested, ask appropriate clarifying questions when needed, and work through technical problems independently with limited day-to-day direction from management or peers.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings for mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Document, revise, and release drawings and related files in Agile PLM.
  • Support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Identify and resolve design and documentation issues with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams as needed.

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of experience as a CAD Drafter, Designer, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Creo Parametric (preferred) or SolidWorks (acceptable).
  • Strong working knowledge of GD&T and mechanical drawing practices.
  • Experience creating detailed part drawings and complex assembly drawings.
  • Familiarity with Agile PLM (or similar product lifecycle management systems).
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, automation, or robotics environment.
