Responsibilities
- The role will be responsible for the design, development, production, and deployment of launch equipment hardware and systems for each weapons system facility.
- Primary role is to serve as a mechanical designer for mechanical systems (mechanisms) design on a major Northrop Grumman Defense Systems program
- This position will be located at Roy, UT to support the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division.
Requirements
- Mechanical Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with 2 years of relevant experience
- Principal Mechanical Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with 5 years of relevant experience
- or Master's degree with 3 years
- Experience with common engineering standards (ISO, ASME, Mil Spec, NAS, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with 2 years of relevant experience
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of GD&T, materials selection, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with Team Center (CPLM) and the Product Definition Package (PDP) release process
- Experience with the ASME Y14.X suite of engineering drawing standards
- Experience with ICBMs or launch equipment systems
- Experience performing dynamic and static analysis (NX Motion or ANSYS preferred)
- Proficiency in DOORS, CAMEO, Jira and Confluence
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills when conveying technical content

Compensation
- $72,100.00 - $108,100.00
- $89,400.00 - $134,200.00
- Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
- Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
- The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
