About the role
- Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago is ranked in all 10 specialties by the U.S. News & World Report.
- Report safety and fire hazards observed on routine patrols and inspections; look for violations of the Joint Commission, OSHA, NFPA and local Fire Code safety violations.
- Enforce hospital parking guidelines for visitors, contractors and employees. - Act as a resource of information for patients, parents, visitors and employees.
Responsibilities
- To provide front-line Supervision to Security Officer teams, support the mission of the Security Services Department in providing a secure and safe environment that allows patients, visitors, personnel and volunteers to deliver or receive quality patient care with minimal threats against their personal well being and property, and to support Lurie Children's Continuous Quality Improvement and Customer Service Goals.

Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of three years security experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Valid Illinois Driver's License required.
- International Association for Hospital Security and Safety (IAHSS) Supervisory training certification is required.
- Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Windows-based software applications as well as having the ability to type.
- Must have excellent customer service skills
Compensation
- $21.00-$32.55 Hourly
