POSITION TITLE: Philanthropy Officer LOCATION: Portland, ME HOURS: Full Time, Salaried (Exempt) UNION MEMBERSHIP: This position is represented by MSEA union in ME POSITION PURPOSE: The Philanthropy Officer will be responsible for securing major philanthropic investments in support of the mission and objectives of Planned Parenthood of Northern New England.
The Philanthropy Officer will play a critical role in generating support for capital and general operating needs for the organization and serve as the primary moves manager for a portfolio of 100-150 current and prospective major donors. Responsibilities

Build and manage relationships with current and prospective donors, identifying opportunities to secure significant philanthropic support aligned with the organization's mission.
Lead donors through the full fundraising cycle-from prospecting and cultivation to solicitation, stewardship, and long-term engagement.
Partner with leadership, volunteers, and colleagues to develop donor strategies and coordinate fundraising efforts across organizational priorities.
Track donor interactions and maintain accurate records in the donor database to support effective relationship management and reporting.
Analyze fundraising metrics, identify major-gift opportunities, and develop strategies to grow philanthropic revenue and donor engagement.
