About the role
- The Real Time Engineer plays a crucial role in the efficient and safe operation of the organization's power generation operations; monitors and analyzes real-time data from various sources; collaborates with Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering personnel, and ensures optimal performance and accurate, data-driven decision making within the organization's tactical operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and intervention on power generation equipment performance in real-time to support field operations.
- Develop and document Root Cause Analyses (RCA) to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
- Provide real-time troubleshooting support to field personnel to maintain equipment availability.
- Actively participate in incident response activities, including coordinating with field teams, troubleshooting operational issues, and executing corrective measures to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
- Maintain access to accurate records of operational activities, equipment performance, and incidents. Prepare timely reports and summaries for management, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
- Drive improvements in monitoring processes, data analysis, and operational support methods.
Requirements
- 3-years experience in field operations, preferably in the Power Generation field.
- Experience with visualization platforms such as PowerBI, Grafana and Sophia platforms.
- Experience with multi-gen controller visualization platforms.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or related field) preferred.
- Experience working in a startup environment a plus.
