About the role

- As part of our continued efforts to enhance risk management practices, we are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented A ssociate Manager, Operational Risk with robust project management capabilities to join our Operational Risk Management team.
- As a member of the Operational Risk team, you'll be part of a collaborative and purpose-driven group that values integrity, innovation, and impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects, ensuring timely delivery of risk initiatives through effective planning, execution, and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop and maintain project plans, including scope definition, milestone tracking, and status reporting.
- Support the Russell Investments corporate insurance program.
- Develop and implement risk management program policies and procedures.
- Proven ability to execute and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
Requirements
- Demonstrable skills and experiences required:
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to translate data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
Nice to have
- Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional projects end to end (initiation through delivery), ideally within a risk, audit, or compliance environment.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- 5-8 years of experience with exposure to operational risk and/ or internal /external audit.
- Financial services or asset management experience preferred but not necessary.
- Proven effective communication skills, negotiation techniques, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- History of demonstrating initiative, effective prioritization, and sound judgement.
- Proactive, self-driven approach to prioritization, multitasking, and continuous improvement
- Familiarity with GRC platforms such as MetricStream is a plus.
Compensation
- $90,000 USD - $115,000 USD
- Specific compensation will be based on candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
