About the role
- Supervises and delegates classroom responsibilities to part-time assistant teachers, volunteers, and student teachers.
- Provides supervision that ensures children are constantly attended by Center staff.
- Monitors children in the group and reports any unusual symptoms to parents or administrator.
Requirements
- Maintains all required records including attendance, meal counts, conference reports, and prepares other required classroom records.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent coursework with a focus in Early Childhood, preferred.
- Two-year certification in early child development, or CDA credential, preferred.
Skills
- Working knowledge of State Licensing regulations, SUTQ, and Center policies.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to supervise and provide direction for part-time assistant teachers, students, and volunteers.
- Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Experience in an early childhood education program, preferred.
