About the role
- The Senior Cook should possess expertise in a specialized method or style of cooking.
- The ability to demonstrate entertainment value or produce specialty foods also qualifies.
- Assist Sous Chefs in all culinary functions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain clean work areas, utensils, and equipment.
- Maintain proper food temperatures in accordance with regulatory and/or ServSafe standards.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk and move through all areas of the casino.
- Moderate physical activity is required along with the handling of objects up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Complete production sheets and other records in conjunction with Sous Chefs as required.
- Must have command of all stations of the kitchen, i.e. roast, fry, pasta, vegetable, grill, pantry, breakfast, sauté and high volume quantity cooking.
- Must have the ability to work with Sous and Room Chefs in conjunction with daily operations.
Nice to have
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Three (3) years of advanced cooking skills required.
- Previous customer service required.
Skills
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
