About the role
- Our client, an iconic hotel property in the LA area is seeking a Senior Event Manager to join their dynamic Catering and Events team.
- This role is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of group and catering events, delivering exceptional service and memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced, luxury hotel environment.
- The Senior Event Manager serves as the primary liaison between clients and hotel operations, overseeing events from contract turnover through on-site execution and post-event follow-up.
Nice to have
- Serve as the primary client contact during the planning and execution phases
- Coordinate with Food and Beverage, Culinary, Banquets, Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other operational teams
- Address and resolve client needs and operational issues in real time
- Identify and maximize revenue opportunities through upselling
- Review event billing, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation
- Participate in site tours, client meetings, and presentations
- Ensure all events comply with hotel policies, safety standards, and service expectations Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of event management or catering experience, preferably in a full-service hotel
