About the role
- Full Time I Day Shift (1100-2030, 4 9's)
- The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is a specialized hospital unit where patients are closely monitored and cared for immediately following surgical or procedural interventions requiring anesthesia.
- The PACU is critical for ensuring patient safety and comfort during the initial recovery period, addressing potential complications, and transitioning patients to the next phase of care.
Responsibilities
- Support for quality care.
- Operating Room Nurses provide care and support to patients before, during and after surgery.
- Employee Support Fund, for employees in need of emergency financial support
Requirements
- Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
- Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor's degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
