About the role

Dow has an exciting job opportunity for a Logistics Technician at the SRO facility located in Orange, TX.
Dow is looking for top-caliber, technically capable Logistics Technicians who embrace change, adapt fast, make decisions quickly, possess self-confidence and are lifelong learners.

Performs routine operation of basic control systems and devices to monitor levels, temperatures, pressures and flow rates and transfer of products
Performs tasks assigned to operations as per a standard task list including field checks, equipment preparation, samples, etc
Performs crisis response activities including but not limited to immediate response duties
Maintain accurate logs, records, reports and inspection checklists
Safely operate, monitor, and adjust plant equipment and control systems to maintain production and performance goals.
Diagnose process issues, resolve equipment or operational problems, and escalate concerns when needed to maintain reliability.
Collaborate with team members, share knowledge, train others, and communicate effectively to support safe and efficient operations.

Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required and one of the following:
Participate in site Emergency Response Team, if required
Complete all duties as assigned with a high degree of dedication to safety and environmental stewardship.
Execute EHS Standards and Operating Disciplines with a high degree of ownership and excellence

Associate degree or higher in Process Plant Technology or related field
Experience within a Chemical Manufacturing environment
Experience issuing safe work permits
Physical Demands
Must be willing and able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation:
Willing and able to wear all Personal Protective Equipment as required, including a respirator (must be able to pass a fit test)
Must be willing and able to perform frequent bending, reaching, pulling and lifting with or without an accommodation.
Must be able to climb stairs and work at heights with or without an accommodation.
