- Job Description Summary: This position provides management for the provision of spiritual care within the operational unit.
- Through direct service and through the training of volunteers and supervision of paid staff, pastoral care services are provided to physicians, staff, patients, and families as a member of the health care team.
Responsibilities

- He/She counsels, offers emotional support, religious rites and sacraments, and assists in biomedical ethical decision making.
Nice to have
- Undergraduate degree from a college, university, or theological school accredited by a member of the Council for Higher Accreditation (www. chea. org).
- Graduate-level theological degree from a college, university or theological school accredited by a member of the Council for Higher Accreditation (www. chea. org
- Degree must include a minimum of 72 semester hours (108 quarter hours) of credit and qualify as a Master of Divinity equivalent.
- Master of Divinity preferred.
- Four units of Clinical Pastoral (ACPE, NACC, CASC).
- Initial employment of an individual chaplain who has not yet completed requirements for Certification may be done with approval by the Director of Pastoral Care and only with an approved plan and timeline for compliance.
