About the role
- The Project Engineer works both in the office and on construction sites and plays a key role in communication between project stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, architects, and field personnel.

Responsibilities
- Maintain project documentation including contracts, drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Coordinate with team members, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to support project progress
- Tracks all project schedules and the materials coming to site in support of the project and assists in schedule updates
- Manages trade contracts and contract deliverables from contract award through closeout
- Review, write and track Requests for Information (RFIs) and collaborate with the design team
- Review shop drawings and submittals before issuing to the design team
- Manage submittal logs and approvals
- Maintain current project drawings and revisions

- Cost and Procurement Support
Requirements
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, steel toe boots, and other specialized equipment as jobs require.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g. Procure, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Associate's degree in construction management, engineering technology, or related field, or equivalent professional training and 5.
- 5 years of experience supporting construction projects in a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager or similar role
