Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, radios, multiplexers/demultiplexers, and GPS equipment.
  • Install, repair, and perform advanced troubleshooting on network communication systems to ensure reliable operation.
  • Support and maintain microwave and radio communication systems, including RF links, repeaters, and two-way radio base stations.
  • Assess network needs and assist with system design, ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure and multi-vendor environments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to resolve communication issues and evaluate hardware/software solutions for reliability and performance.

Requirements

  • Some night and weekend work required
  • Qualified candidate must be able to acquire an NC driver license upon hire.
  • A ssociate's degree or higher from an appropriately accredited institution
  • Employees should have at least 3 years of experience in RF related fields.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of configuring hardware and software.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of programming switches and routers.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of radio communications and microwave network communications systems.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of radio and/or microwave network troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of radio and/or microwave network maintenance.
