About the role
- Mondoo is creating security experiences that companies leverage to keep their users and data safe from hackers around the world.
- This is a high-impact IC reporting to our CPO and co-founder.
- If you've shipped real code, better still.
Responsibilities
- You'll partner with product, engineering, and leadership to push past obvious answers, prototype real ideas, and turn the best direction into shipped craft.
- It's a "let's actually build it" role - with components, design system work, and real code happening alongside the design itself.
- You'll shape how design shows up across a product that protects some of the world's most critical systems - and how our team builds it.
- Own a piece of the journey.
Nice to have
- A considered portfolio with zoomed-in detail and zoomed-out strategy.
- Comfort prototyping with code.
- You're not afraid to open a terminal, work next to engineers, or use AI tooling like Claude Code to ship real components
- Strong inclination toward collaboration, comfort operating independently and remotely
- The ability to tell stories, and push past the obvious
- Experience designing for technical audiences a plus (developers, security engineers, DevOps)
- Figma mastery - it's our tool of choice, but increasingly not the only one
- Speak the web - read HTML and CSS without flinching.
