About the role
- The Charles Lea Center is dedicated to supporting adults where they live, work, and play.
- We are seeking a dependable and customer‑focused Transportation Specialist to safely transport individuals served in our Day Services, Employment, and Supportive Living programs.
- This role ensures reliable transportation before, during, and after designated program hours while maintaining professionalism, safety, and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- This role involves regular standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and hands-on support.
Requirements
- Ability to type 70+ WPM and navigate basic computer systems
- Must pass background checks, DMV screening, Medicaid exclusion, fingerprinting (if SC resident <1 year), and provide 3 professional references
- As-needed transportation position with a split schedule required based on operational needs.
Nice to have
- 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred
