About the role

  • You will be responsible for supporting a team and driving a roadmap that makes Radar's services scalable and highly available worldwide.
  • Your focus will be in the application layer, but you will also help connect application and infrastructure development through automated tooling and workflows.
  • Radar is a high-throughput, data intensive application handling 1 billion+ API calls per day.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, grow, and mentor a globally distributed Platform team
  • Lead a team of engineers and provide technical leadership across backend, frontend and mobile tech stacks
  • Collaborate with our product engineering and SRE teams to build highly available systems with 99.99%+ monthly uptime.
  • Work with product, SRE, and data teams to enable self-serve capabilities, including build/test/deploy infrastructure, observability improvements, data pipeline investments, and automation.
  • Build and support core platform capabilities like IAM, feature flagging, application rate limiting, and more.
  • Drive development of our internal development platform, including supporting our server, frontend, mobile, and desktop frameworks, and integrating safe AI-enabled development practices throughout our SDLC.
  • Help integrate security and compliance practices into every stage of the development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
  • Have a good understanding of coding practices and system design, and be strongly familiar with infrastructure technologies.
