About the role
- Full time Regular The Emergency Response Manager is responsible for responding, overseeing and coordinating all emergency response activities.
- The Emergency Response Manager will work closely with local authorities, clients, and internal teams to ensure effective and efficient response to environmental emergencies.
- Work Environment This position will require periods of independent work with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 35lbs and navigate uneven terrain such as stream banks, ravines, and right of ways.
Nice to have
- IAEM Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or ability to obtain within 1 year from date of hire.
- Experience working with hazardous materials and waste management.
- Multimedia sampling experience
- Familiarity with incident command systems and emergency operations centers.
- Previous experience in a consulting or environmental services firm.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of surface water sampling methods and techniques
- Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in using emergency response software and tools.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver training programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability to travel at a moment's notice.
- Work Environment
- This position will require periods of independent work with minimal supervision.
- The nature of EnviroScience's typical emergency response project includes mobilization on short notice.
