About the role

  • The Operational Risk Project Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the project management for non-financial risk programs and initiatives.
  • Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure.
  • Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.

Responsibilities

  • Embed effective risk and control considerations into project design and delivery
  • Partner with business, technology, compliance, resilience, and risk teams to provide challenge and guidance across multiple initiatives in parallel
  • Support risk governance, approvals, and reporting for projects
  • The team is looking to fill a new role under Operational and Non-Financial Risk to support project management for risk requirements.

Skills

  • 4+ years of project management experience
  • Experience with risk management
  • MS Office experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Strong problem solving/analysis skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable messaging
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Collaboration/team skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and shifting priorities
  • Nice to Have
  • Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Previous financial industry experience
  • Executive level communication/presentation experience

Compensation

  • $69,000.00 - $129,000.00
  • The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type.
  • For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
  • BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
