About the role
- We like intelligent people and our philosophy is that rote data entry is a waste of resources.
- The successful candidate will be a licensed Customs Broker who will act as Clients Corporate Licensed Broker with US Customs.
- They will be fully responsible for all aspects of the company's US Customs Brokerage and Customs Compliance activities.
Nice to have
- Current experience as a LCB in a similar position or as assistant to similar position.
- Experience and working knowledge of inside sales and customer service activities preferred.
- Familiar with financial aspects of the local economy
- Committed and enthusiastic
- Ability to think and act strategically
Skills
- Excellent current knowledge of US Customs Brokerage requirements.
- Knowledge of ACE Portal and all CBP systems
- Deep understanding of other governmental agencies
- Strong knowledge/understanding of matters that require compliance both internal and external.
- Thorough understanding of customer needs
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Excellent leadership skills
- Confidence to deal with internal and external issues at all levels
- Ability to appraise a given situation and offer credible solutions to improve practices
- Self-motivating
- Effective time management
- Knowledge of transport providers including airlines, shipping lines and truckers, their products, and services
