About the role
- Turn integration pain points and usage patterns into a clear point of view on the highest-ROI opportunities for the ecosystem.
- You reason about products and platforms as part of a larger system, designing for reuse, scale, and longevity rather than one-off solutions.
- Comfort operating across both technical and commercial stakeholders, translating needs from Partnerships, Sales, and enterprise customers into a coherent technical roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support the team and business goals.
- Treat the API as a product. Set the standards for API design, authentication and authorization, versioning, deprecation lifecycle, rate limiting, and the SLAs our partners depend on.
- Shape the external developer experience, including documentation, support, sandbox environments, webhooks, and onboarding, so partners can integrate quickly and confidently.
- Collaborate closely with the Partnerships team and external partners to land strategic integrations that solve real customer pain points and drive meaningful business value.
- Technical depth to engage credibly with engineering and architecture on system design, integration patterns, authentication, security, and data privacy.
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and governance for Mindbody's external API ecosystem - the APIs that partners, integrators, and enterprise customers build on.
- Set the standards for API design, authentication and authorization, versioning, deprecation lifecycle, rate limiting, and the SLAs our partners depend on.
- Be the voice of the external developer and partner.
- Own the go-to-market for API changes, internally and externally.
- Drive CX, Sales, and Account Management enablement, and communicate clearly with partners and enterprise customers, so launches, versioning, and deprecations land smoothly.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with API-specific concerns such as versioning, rate limiting, and auth models like OAuth is a plus.

- Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.The base salary range for this position in the United States is $150,000 to $185,000.
- The total compensation package for this position may also include performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.

- Experience with external or public-facing APIs is a strong bonus.
